That, then, is a wrap of the 3-match ODI series. As RVD mentioned during the presentations, it's a fair result as both teams were good in patches without being consistent in all three departments. On a good Headingley track, we were set to witness a Quinny special and given England's batting firepower, we could have had a proper belter. The rain, unfortunately. though had other ideas. Both teams will now await the three-match T20I series which begins on Wednesday in Bristol. Should be a cracking series that. Do remember to tune in for all of it. For now, you can munch on the second WI-IND ODI where West Indies look set to post a huge total on the board. Feet up, cheers and goodbye!!

             Both captains share the trophy.

Jos Buttler | England captain: It was a good wicket, game was evenly poised. Would have been great to have a full game. We can sit down now and look at what it will be without Ben for us heading to the World Cup. He is a world class all-rounder. Reece has been outstanding, great to see him take those wickets. Fantastic to see him be fit and play well. Very confident that we will pick up. Anytime you lose players you go through a cycle. We are realistic about where we were. We want to build towards the World Cup in India and win it. Some of the batters are hoping for good batting wickets.

Keshav Maharaj | South Africa captain: We didn't want to focus much on the toss, we saw what happened the other day. He (QDK) looked in great touch. Lot of cricket left on the tour, hopefully he can carry this form. We found a good combination. It's just about being consistent. We are looking forward to the T20s.

Rassie van der Dussen | Player of the Series: We were in a pretty good position today. We knew we had to take care of the powerplay but it was better later on. Real shame the rain came in. We wanted to hit the ground running and we were happy. We had a poor batting display in the second game but it happens. The blueprint is there and we are in a good position. My role is to see off the powerplay and play sensible cricket. We had to be at our best against the World Champions. England were good in stages, we were good in stages. Could have been interesting today.

16:06 Local Time, 15:06 GMT, 20:36 IST: Game called off! What a shame. South Africa were nicely placed for a challenging total. This pitch was good for England to fancy their chances in a big chase. Could have been a humdinger, but the rain decided to come in and come in big numbers. The radar looks bad for considerable amount of time at this point, so the officials have decided there is no point hanging around as mop up operations do take time.

Scot Read, on the BBC Test Match Special, had mentioned that "the ground staff have put down the heavy sheets. It suggests they're expecting it to be a pretty heavy rainfall." Tch, tch!

15:05 Local Time, 14:05 GMT, 19:35 IST: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. We are hearing that the entire square is under covers now. Looks like the rain is set for a long haul. Also, the cut-off time for a 20-over chase is 18:04 local. Fingers crossed for a positive update!

ICYMI: We had 6.5 overs of play since the break with South Africa adding 40/0 during that phase. Quinton de Kock has started to look increasingly comfortable while Markram played with a bit of caution. The move from England though seems to be clear. They want to rush through the overs and with spinners keeping it relatively tight, Jos Buttler hasn't had too much thinking to do.

14:34 Local Time, 13:34 GMT, 19:04 IST: And bam, we are off, again! The brollies go up and the groundstaff rush in with the covers. The rain isn't heavy at the moment but it looks more of a precautionary move. More heavy rain expected? Well, it'd be tough to bet against.

27.4 Moeen Ali to de Kock, 1 run, short on the stumps, tucked away to the left of deep mid-wicket

It has started to drizzle once again

27.3 Moeen Ali to de Kock, no run, floated up on the stumps, forward and blocked

27.2 Moeen Ali to Markram, 1 run, flatter on off, biffed down to long-on

27.1 Moeen Ali to Markram, no run, off-break just outside off, Markram flicks and finds mid-wicket

             Revised hours of play: First innings: 14:15 – 15:59 Interval: 15:59 – 16:29 Second innings: 16:29 - 19:38 Powerplay: 1-9 overs/10-36 overs/37-45 overs

26.6 Livingstone to de Kock, 2 runs, feeds it full yet again, QDK stays leg-side of the delivery and slots the drive to the left of Bairstow at sweeper cover

26.5 Livingstone to de Kock, FOUR, too slow and too full - a player of de Kock's quality isn't gonna miss out on that. Bends his back knee and hammers the drive along the ground through extra cover

26.4 Livingstone to Markram, 1 run, full on the stumps, driven down to long-on

26.3 Livingstone to Markram, no run, nudged to mid-wicket
