A huge heartbreak for the home crowd as England have bowed out, but they still have a shot at the Bronze medal in tomorrow's third-place game where they will play the loser of the Australia-New Zealand semifinal. Given the home conditions and their squad, Sciver's girls will be disappointed, even though they were missing a few key players. As for India, today's result is just another step in the right direction - they've taken rapid strides in white-ball cricket over the last 12 months and the future looks bright for sure. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, this is Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of Abhinand Raghavendran and Naga. Cheers!

14:12 Local Time, 13:12 GMT, 18:42 IST: India have broken the knockout jinx. Frustratingly close on three occasions in recent ICC tournaments and Kaur's girls have finally conquered that frontier. They did make the T20 WC 2020 final but that was after the semifinal got washed out, so this win will be special for sure. Maybe they can now pass on some tips to the Indian men's team on how to get past this semifinal hurdle? Coming to the game, it was a contest worthy of a semifinal with plenty of twists and turns. At the end of it all, it's India who held their nerves to go through to the summit clash. England began the chase with a bang though, Dunkley and Wyatt taking the attack to the bowlers, and the latter along with Capsey looked set to take England home on a canter. However, a silly run out opened the gates for India who to their credit kept the squeeze on, and refused to go down even when runs came freely. Deepti was the outstanding bowler, creating pressure whenever her captain wanted her to and the others played the ideal foil around the off spinner. The bowling wasn't always flawless, fielding too did crumble occasionally but when it mattered, they held their own and India are now assured of a medal in cricket.

             ENGW: 160-6 after 20 overs

19.6Sneh Rana to Ecclestone, SIX, Ecclestone clears the ropes but it's too late! India are into the CWG 2022 final! Look at the scenes out there as the girls go bonkers. Lots of hugs, cheers and roars among the players, all enjoyed of course by their supporters in the stands. Just needed a legal delivery to get them through and although Ecclestone stepped out to smoke this over long-on, it was not going to change the result

19.5 Sneh Rana to Bouchier, 1 run, a massive roar goes across the stadium from the Indian fans and the support staff! A legal ball will do now for India. Fired full, Bouchier steps out and can only dig it out to long-on. Just a single

19.4 Sneh Rana to Ecclestone, 1 run, dropped! Sitter at long-on but Deol has put it down. Just a single though, so India won't mind. Ecclestone came down the track to chip this down the ground, no timing and lucky to survive

Sophie Ecclestone, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Well, 13 runs | 3 balls now. This has to find the fence from England's POV.

19.3 Sneh Rana to Brunt, out Caught by Kaur!! It's a full toss but Brunt picks out Kaur at mid-off! India are almost there now! The Indian captain is absolutely pumped after taking the catch. Brunt wanted to go over the infield, got this off the toe-end and the chance is accepted by Kaur. It's getting to a point of no return for England now. Brunt c Kaur b Sneh Rana 0(2)

Sneh Rana to Brunt, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

19.2 Sneh Rana to Bouchier, 1 run, very full around off, dug out to mid-off

19.1 Sneh Rana to Bouchier, no run, wide yorker, makes Bouchier reach and she is beaten as she looks to slice this away. Quick work from Bhatia standing up and she whips the bails off in a flash as well but Bouchier's foot was grounded. Dot ball!

Literally down to the wire. 14 needed off 6, 13 for a Super Over. Tough ask for England but hang on, there is a big twist here. India have been penalised for slow over rate, so an extra fielder has to come in the ring. Only 3 deep fielders allowed.

             ENGW: 151-5 after 19 overs

18.6 Vastrakar to Brunt, no run, banged in short, Brunt looks to ramp but doesn't connect. Dot ball!

Katherine Brunt, right handed bat, comes to the crease

18.5 Vastrakar to Sciver, out Sciver Run Out!! 1 run completed. Excellent throw from Mandhana and India have the big fish! Slower ball, very full and it was heaved towards deep mid-wicket. Sciver was always coming back for the second, and on most days, she might have gotten the help of a weak/wayward throw. Not today. Mandhana fires a flat throw towards the keeper's end where Bhatia does the rest. Even with the dive, Sciver is well short. 14 off 7 now! Sciver run out (Mandhana/Bhatia) 41(43) [4s-2 6s-1]

Vastrakar to Sciver, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

Absolute scenes here as Sciver seems to be run out. India are already celebrating. And why not, because she is well short.

18.4 Vastrakar to Sciver, leg byes, FOUR, more runs! Off the pads but England won't care! Sciver looks to whip it away, doesn't connect and this deflects off the pads. Very fine and no chance for short fine leg fielder. 15 off 8 now!

18.3 Vastrakar to Sciver, SIX, pumped over deep mid-wicket! England are alive, just about, through their skipper. Sciver nals the pull this time, rocked back early and clouted this over the ropes. Bisected deep square leg and deep mid-wicket perfectly

18.2 Vastrakar to Bouchier, 1 run, slower ball, on a good length well outside off, Bouchier makes room and slaps this to deep cover. Just a single again. India won't mind this at all
