That's all we've got from this encounter. RCB have consolidated their No. 4 spot. It's time to shift our focus now to the DY Patil Stadium. Pant's men will try to bridge the gap between them and RCB while MSD and co. have to win to stay alive in the competition. Switch tabs to follow CSK vs DC. See you there!

Wanindu Hasaranga | Player of the Match: I try to bowl wicket-to-wicket, that's why most of my dismissals are lbws. That's my role (to pick wickets). Leg-spinners are wicket-takers, that's what I tried to do. He (Chahal) is a very good friend and he supported me last year. Five Sri Lankans are playing this IPL and they're all doing very well, so I am really happy.

Faf du Plessis (2/2): If he (Dinesh Karthik) is hitting sixes like that, we want to get him in and bat as long as possible. He's just so clear. To be honest, I was actually trying to get out because I was so tired, to get DK in. We were even contemplating - myself 'retiring out'. And then, we lost that wicket. DK is in such good form. It was a tricky wicket. A lot of guys, their first few balls, they struggled. Lucky for us, there was a drop catch of DK and he just took them apart. Really happy for Wani, personally he was looking for that one match where he blows right through a batting line-up. He's been threatening with that right through the campaign, very happy that tonight was that night. He's obviously one of those special bowlers. If you're not picking him, especially once you get to the lower-order batters, he can run through you very quickly. Wani is doing exceptionally well. I am glad that I could play a role today in making sure that we can get some runs on the board.

Faf du Plessis (1/2): What we are trying to get better at as a team is making sure that one of those top-four creates a bit of a base. We have got some really strong hitters at the back. The games where we didn't do so well, there was a big cluster of wickets in the powerplay. Obviously some stability but at the same time you gonna make sure you don't go into defensive mode. You still want to try and take the right bowlers on at the right time. He (Rajat Patidar) has been a great addition, there are some fantastic young Indian batters within our set-up. Even someone like Suyash, he played three games and probably didn't go the way he would have liked to but there's some real talent there. Rajat comes in and just plays with that freedom, real cool, calm composure about him. That's always really good traits for a youngster to have. Mahipal is another young guy coming into the team, we are very lucky that we have got some real good Indian batting talent.

Josh Hazlewood: Sweaty again, nice and hot. The wicket probably got drier as the match went on. Being a day game, it deteriorated and we took the pace off. Our spinners bowled really well, we worked to a plan and achieved it. It (knuckle ball) is tough in these conditions with how sweaty everything is and when the dew comes in at night. It's a tough skill, but seems to be coming out okay. Tonight's wicket didn't suit pace on. They (SRH) had a lot of pace, three guys bowling close to 150 - probably wasn't suited to this wicket. It was just about adapting in every condition. He (Umran Malik) will learn along the way and get better. Pace on ball was probably the easiest to hit. He (Rajat Patidar) has been fantastic, he's batted very unselfish all the way through. He's looked to take down the spinners. He's been fantastic since coming in. He's taken the heat off a few of our other batters and built key partnerships and taken us deep.

Kane Williamson: It’s been quite a challenge for us, we need to come up with ways to reverse that pressure and turn around. These have been par totals, the batting has been quality, but as a unit there are areas to touch on. I think earlier in the competition when there was assistance with the new ball we were certainly very threatening, so we need to go back to the drawing board as we have a little gap between the next game. We will have to get a bit more creative and come up with ways to change the momentum. Today we were outplayed, RCB are a really strong side, in fact all teams are strong. For us it’s about looking to stay calm. We do need to improve, but don’t need to overthink. The margins are always fine, but we need to show signs of improvement. We didn’t get off to a great start, they had a very good total on that surface. It was holding a bit, and it was turning a bit, the wicket. We needed to build some partnerships and take the game deep in order to maximise the opportunities on this Wankhede ground, but we were unable to do that. A lot of learning, we were outplayed like I said, but we do have a gap. So it’s important for us to reassess and we need to be clear how we target our next matches and take it positively. I’m not sure exactly, but I think they (Jansen, Natarajan) are recovering pretty well. Certainly hoping to see them again soon.

19:24 Local Time, 13:54 GMT, 19:24 IST: From getting bowled out for 68 in their previous meeting to registering a 67-run win, RCB get their revenge against SRH. The century partnership between Faf and Rajat Patidar followed by DK's fireworks (30 off 8) powered Bangalore to 192. Chasing a big total, the Sunrisers got off to the worst possible start. Both the openers failed to get off the mark and were dismissed in the very first over. Markram and Rahul Tripathi stitched a 50-run stand for the third wicket but the asking rate kept climbing. Hasaranga removed the former in his very first over and the Sri Lankan leggie went onto bag a fifer. Tripathi notched up a classy fifty but had little support from his team-mates. RCB kept picking wickets to register a massive win, thereby improving their NRR.
