RCB remain in the top four for now, but they have DC and PBKS breathing down their neck. And if it comes down to an NRR battle, it's not looking that good for them after this defeat. They'll be up against Gujarat in their final league game, which is around a week away. Who knows how the table looks by that point. That's all from us here. Goodbye!

Bairstow, Player of the Match: It's one of those days. A couple of those come off and it's your day. Many quality bowlers in the IPL and sometimes you've got to try and get them off their lengths (taking on Josh). It's a completely different commodity, playing with England and playing here. Stats would suggest I quite enjoy opening the batting. The bats are very good, I must admit.

Mayank Agarwal, PBKS captain: We were brilliant with the bat. Wicket was holding up a bit. The way Jonny and Livi batted, was amazing. We haven't changed a lot to be honest, just about understanding few situations, understanding the wicket. Have to be adaptable and flexible which we have been, which is nice. Can't be too defensive with the ball. If batsman get going, it doesn't matter, the boundaries don't matter these days. Two points the most crucial thing for us. As long as the job gets done, I'm fine batting at five. Very very energetic person, very confident guy (Arshdeep). Enjoys his cricket. Must say he's the leader in the team. He rallies around everyone, takes up the responsibility, even goes up and speaks to the bowlers sometimes.

Liam Livingstone: I have got a tight calf, so just as a precaution I went off and iced it. I didn't want to make it any worse. That's how we want to play our cricket, Jonny was outstanding and set the tone, from then on we were ahead of the game. It was a chance for myself to get in and assess the conditions a little bit longer than usual. It was nice to knock it around for a little bit before setting a platform to get at the end. Jonny set it up for the rest of the batters and the way we bowled was exceptional on a very good pitch. I still thought we were 10-15 short with the size of the boundary and how good the pitch was, all credit goes to our bowlers. If we get our chance to put the opposition under pressure then make sure we do that, Jonny did that against one of their best bowlers in the tournament. Once I leave here I won't be praising him (Bairstow), trust me (On their Lancashire-Yorkshire rivalry). It has been a different role, I have been up and down the order, just trying to make a contribution in every game and the proudest thing for me is being able to contribute in all areas. I am seeing the ball well at the moment and it is nice to put in performances to win games for your team. Wherever I play, batting in different positions, I have the skill set to bat anywhere and that is something that sets me up really well.

Faf du Plessis, RCB skipper: It was a good score, obviously Jonny the way he started put our bowlers under really pressure. I thought we pulled it back a bit. 200 was about par on that wicket, was a brilliant wicket. When you're chasing scores like that, you can't afford to lose wickets in clusters and unfortunately, that's what happened to us. He (Kohli) is seeing the lighter side of it, every single way that you can possibly get out, is happening to him. That's how the game works. All you can do is to keep trying hard, work hard and stay positive. He played some good shots tonight, obviously would want him to carry on. Bad patches happen to all of us, he's taken it in the right note. Not a great outing for us tonight. Will take a day off and then see how we can switch on for a game that's a must-win one for us. One more net session isn't going to make you a better player, it's about making yourselves stronger in the mind. If we play to our potential, we are a very strong side. Unfortunately, we didn't do that tonight.

23:27 Local Time, 17:57 GMT, 23:27 IST: The playoffs race gets hotter as PBKS jump up to sixth, with a good boost to their NRR as well. They're tied on points with DC now, and just one win shy of RCB who have played one extra game. What a performance today. A win built on the back of a powerpacked batting effort, with Bairstow and Livingstone setting off the fireworks. The quality of the bowling then came through on a belter of a pitch (Faf is saying in his interview that 200 was par). RCB just kept losing wickets in an effort to keep up with the rate, and nobody was able to really kick on for a score.

             RCB: 155-9 after 20 overs

19.6Arshdeep Singh to Siraj, 1 run, slower ball at the stumps, Siraj mistimes the slog to long-on. Just a single. It's a comprehensive win for PBKS who remain well and truly in the hunt

Shashank: RCB throughout the season looked off-colour, barring few instances where individual performances bailed them out, never clicked as a cohesive unit.

19.5 Arshdeep Singh to Siraj, no run, banged in short, Siraj is beaten on the pull

19.4 Arshdeep Singh to Hazlewood, 1 run, full ball slanted in on middle, Hazlewood looks to slog and drags it off a thick inside edge wide of short fine

19.3 Arshdeep Singh to Hazlewood, FOUR, slower knuckle ball on off, Hazlewood drags the slog over midwicket
