Williamson collects the trophy and his team-mates join him as they pose for the photographs. New Zealand 2 -- 1 West Indies. A consolation win for the hosts who avoid a series whitewash and end their five-match losing streak in the process. On that note, it's time to bring the curtains down on this encounter. The action shifts from Jamaica to Barbados for the ODI leg, with the first of the three games commencing on Wednesday (17th August). Don't forget to tune in for that. For now, it's goodbye from all of us down here.

Kane Williamson | NZ captain: Firstly, congratulations to the West Indies the way they played. They adapted well. They executed the plans beautifully. They outplayed us. The effort was there, it was great to get the series win. There's a lot of enjoyment playing in this group. Great to see the team progress and that's where our focus has been. We rotated a little bit. We saw some great stuff, looking forward to the one-day series.

Glenn Phillips | Player of the Series: It's special to come to Sabina and perform in front the fans. I love playing here. The ability to know what the situation is. If I can clear the ropes, I need not worry about dot balls. With such a strong tail, it gives you the confidence to express yourself. They (WI) bowled really well today.

Rovman Powell | WI captain: It's a pleasure playing for WI, it's a special feeling to be the captain. I chopped and changed to keep the bowlers fresh and the NZ batters thinking. Last night, we talked about it - more people coming in. Thanks to them for coming in large numbers. Brandon played really well and so did Brooks, they complemented each other.

Brandon King | Player of the Match: Very special doing it front of my home fans. My family is here as well. Consistency is important. Credit to the bowlers. My job in the team is to get us off to a good start. Brooks played excellent as well, he didn't take any unnecessary risks. Leading up to the WC, we want to play well in the T20s.

16:36 Local Time, 21:36 GMT, 03:06 IST: A comprehensive victory for West Indies who had made four changes to their playing XI for this game. Their bowlers set it up by restricting NZ to 145. Chasing a below-par score, the WI openers were off to a watchful start but scored 27 runs off the last two overs of the powerplay, with Brandon King hitting four fours and a six during that period. The duo targeted Ish Sodhi by smashing three sixes off his second over. The asking rate was brought down to 6 RPO by the ninth over and all it needed was sensible batting for the hosts to cross the line. King, playing at his home ground, notched up a 30-ball fifty. The openers stitched a century stand - first by a WI opening pair since January 2020 - before King perished to Southee. Thomas fell trying to smash one out of the ground. But there were no further setbacks for the home team. Brooks registered the slowest fifty by a WI batter in T20Is but captain Powell was in a punishing mood as he scored a quickfire 27 and hit the winning runs as the Caribbean side hunted down the total with an over to spare. Stay tuned, presentations coming up in a bit...
