Apart from the Royals who have a landslide lead over the rest, it's a proper rat race out there. Three teams are on eight points, two teams are on seven and we have only three league games left. The race for the playoffs is getting hotter and we're set for a thrilling finish to the league stages, that's for sure. There will be a day off, after which the action shall resume. A rollicking weekend beckons. Do join us then. Until next time, it's goodbye from us.

Faf du Plessis | Kings skipper: It was a nice pitch, there was dew so the ball skid a bit in the second half. I thought we had a good score but we weren't okay with the ball and also not great in the field. It was slippery due to the dew but still. We have one more game left, a win gives us a top-two spot but a loss could even push us out. We know it's tight out there.

Shimron Hetmyer | Warriors skipper: Coming home, we knew we had to do our best and the guys continued to deliver time and time again. Well done to the guys. When you are chasing 190-odd, you just tell the guys that you have nothing to lose. That was the thinking and it worked for us. Bowling at night here is tough and can't really fault the guys. Faf played a top knock, one of the best that I've seen in a while. I just told the guys to enjoy themselves and give the crowd a proper show, irrespective of how the result ends.

Shai Hope | Player of the Match: Feels good to get out there and do what I love, which is batting. Missed a few games early on. We had self-belief, we wanted to stick to our plans and were confident of chasing them off. It's just about doing what the team requires, batting to a plan and I needed to up the strike rate, so that's what I did. I never played in front of such a great crowd, hopefully we can get them more wins. Of course, you have to have it (self belief about winning the title).

22:56 Local Time, 02:56 GMT, 08:26 IST: What a morale-boosting win this is! 194 looked a stiff ask, especially in a competition where even the 140-150 scores have been tough to get. Add to that the previous three games of this Guyana leg were won by the teams batting first, so the odds were definitely stacked against the home side. But on an unusually fine batting deck that got even better under heavy dew, Gurbaz launched a stunning counterattack in the powerplay, aided by some class batting from Hemraj as the duo put the Kings bowlers to the sword. Such was the tempo of their partnership that even a passage of three quick wickets didn't dent their charge. Hope and Hetmyer stitched a composed partnership, and although the skipper couldn't see his team through, his partner sure did and how! It was a proper exhibition of eye-catching strokeplay from the Warriors batters and the home crowd enjoyed every bit of it. Have to feel for Faf, his classy century early on proving to be in vain. In hindsight, Kings needed another 15-20 runs to cover up for the dew factor but you can't always plan for that, can you?

19.2 Forde to Shai Hope, 1 run, highest-ever successful chase in CPL for the Warriors! Hope finishes things on a low key note, pulling the slower bouncer with control through square leg. Gets that single

19.1 Forde to Shai Hope, FOUR, sliced away! Width offered and Hope scythes this over backward point. Cracking shot and the scores are level now

Matthew Forde [1.0-0-18-0] is back into the attack

Just five needed off the final over. One shot will do.

             GAW: 190-4 after 19 overs

18.6 Wiese to Shepherd, no run, slower ball into the surface, Shepherd looks for the slog but misses it completely. Was too early into the shot

18.5 Wiese to Shepherd, 2 runs, fuller and on off, heaved away to the right of long-on and Warriors are a brace closer

18.4 Wiese to Shepherd, FOUR, the fielding from the Kings has been atrocious to say the least. Dew hasn't helped for sure but it's still been quite amateurish. Faf shakes his head in disbelief, Wiese has a sarcastic smile. Was slashed away hard by Shepherd and sweeper cover did the initial part of getting across but slipped during the tumble, losing the ball in the process

18.3 Wiese to Shai Hope, 1 run, excellent yorker, Hope jams it out just in time and they sneak a single as this rolls towards Dickwella

18.3 Wiese to Shai Hope, wide, full toss but well down the leg-side, Hope heaves and misses

18.2 Wiese to Shai Hope, 2 runs, another slower ball, Hope shuffles early to counter the wide line and whips it away wide of long-on where the fielder makes a fine sliding stop. The back foot wasn't far away from touching the rope upon contact with the ball, but it's just safe

18.1 Wiese to Shepherd, 1 run, slower ball on off, Shepherd is early into the heave and gets this off the inside half towards square leg. Just a single

David Wiese [2.0-0-27-0] is back into the attack
