So we've pretty much got our semi-finalists locked in barring something extraordinary. Pakistan are pretty much the only other contender but their NRR situation looks quite hopeless, they'll need to beat England by unthinkable margins irrespective of if they bat first or second so New Zealand can rest easy - in all probability, they'll be facing India at the Wankhede. For Sri Lanka, it sums up what's been an extremely disappointing campaign. Their qualification to the 2025 Champions Trophy seems to be in extreme jeopardy and they'll be praying for that Pakistani miracle as well so that it may just push England's NRR below their own. That's all we've got for you tonight, we hope you enjoyed our coverage. This is Anurag signing off on behalf of Kumar, Ramakrishnan and Vinod. Take care and goodbye.

Rachin Ravindra talking to the official broadcaster: It's a pretty surreal feeling. Playing in Bangalore with my extended family is always special and I won't take for granted when the crowd chants your name. To be compared to the great man (Sachin Tendulkar) is something I never dreamt of. Lucky it all worked out. 6 to 12 months ago I was not in the frame. Accolades and individual things aside, good to be in the playoffs. [on taking the catch that gave Ajaz his 10-fer in that Test] My most nervy moment of my career. I was lucky to catch that, it was all Ajaz's work. I'm lucky to have come here through my teenage years, experience the practice wickets - helps me a lot. Nice wicket and fast outfields, try to adapt as best I can. Talk to Devon, talk to Kane who have played in the IPL, get golden nuggets from them whenever I can. Still water under the bridge and we will be watching those games. I idolised Kane, idolised a lot of guys in this World Cup, Kohli, Root, Steve Smith and I felt ooh, I'm playing with them. I'm lucky to have that freedom from the guys. Thank you to the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the crowd for all the support. It is a special place in my heart and I look forward to playing more cricket here.

Kane Williamson | New Zealand captain: Really good performance. Early wickets and spin was a challenge through those middle overs. Pitch really slowed down later. The guys showed some good intent later with the chase so great performance overall. We thought there was going to be some weather later but there wasn't any. Hard to read such things. Glad we were able to pick up wickets, people like Perera can take the game away from you. Always great getting our 5th and 6th spinners into the game, a great effort overall. Few teams can end up on the same points, it's about control. Hopefully we can get a couple of days off, we'll be hanging around, not really sure what we'll do. Hopefully if things go our way, would be great to involved in a semi. Will be looking forward to the challenge.

Kusal Mendis | Sri Lanka captain: (Translated) We lost 4 wickets in first 10 overs and that's what got us into trouble. We could have easily gotten 300 on this pitch. Madushanka bowled really well but it was tough to take wickets because we were defending a small total. Quite enjoyed captaincy, disappointed about my own performance but overall it was enjoyable. Very happy to see players putting their hands up and performing.

This was New Zealand's eighth straight win against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Trent Boult | PoTM: Nice to get bit of success at the top there (new ball). Big game, must-win game for us, pleasure is getting that result, yeah a good night. It's a challenging format, challenging part of the world to open the bowling. I feel like I've used my experience in some part of the game. Nice to be on a decent side of it tonight. Always the biggest challenge here (India) is to come across different conditions and conditions that change throughout the tournament. Everyone wants a piece of the host nation, they are playing phenomenal cricket. Time will tell what will happen there (playing India in the semifinal). I am sure it will be an exciting game.

19:48 Local Time, 14:18 GMT, 19:48 IST: Convincing win for New Zealand and a string of defeats. They're back on track and look all set to go through to the semi finals. Disappointment not only for Sri Lanka but also for Afghanistan and Pakistan who'd most definitely been watching along. Afghanistan are virtually out of the competition and Pakistan will need to come up with something miraculous against England. So New Zealand will feel confident, it's a job well done today. 172 was never going to be a challenging chase, especially on a pristine batting deck and they set themselves up with a fantastic performance with the ball. Ravindra and Conway were free-flowing at the top of the order and once they got through the new ball to share an 86-run stand, Sri Lanka didn't really have a chance. Mitchell came in and struck a few before Phillips put the lid on to finish things off. Sri Lanka needed wickets early to make a game out of it and they simply didn't get them. Madushanka, who's been so brilliant all tournament long, finished wicket-less and while 5 wickets did eventually go down, New Zealand weren't ever in trouble. That loss also sinks Sri Lanka's hopes of a spot in the Champions Trophy, they'll be rooting for Pakistan to inflict a heavy defeat on England to push them beneath Sri Lanka who'll otherwise remain anchored to 9th place on the table.

23.2 Madushanka to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, smashed and it takes New Zealand to a 5 wicket win! It very well might take them to the semi-finals too. Back of a length on middle, Glenn Phillips sat back in his crease and crunched the pull to the deep backward square leg fence

23.1 Madushanka to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, powerfully struck! Pitched up full on off-stump, Glenn Phillips cleared his front-leg a touch and smacked it straight back down the ground past his partner, now New Zealand are just a hit away
